In Memoriam. Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Lawrence B. Pierce, Jr.

Tucked along the border near our property stands a memorial placed by the U.S. Border Patrol honoring Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Lawrence B. Pierce, Jr., who was killed in the line of duty on August 17, 1995. The sign is easy to miss unless you’re out here. Unlike freeway dedications that thousands drive past every day, this memorial sits off the grid, seen only by those who work, patrol, or spend time in this remote stretch of land.
Border Patrol thought enough of Agent Pierce to place this marker here for all who pass to see. It serves as a quiet reminder of the risks law enforcement officers accept in protecting the public. We acknowledge his service and sacrifice.
Thank you, Agent Pierce.
